Probably just bought the parts? That was my guess but somewhere, they got the impression that Vespas died. And I like Vespas. Much more useful than a Segway.

Yeah they make repro parts and I imagine they'd be cheaper then oem. They aren't going to buy a whole scooter to take the few pieces they need off.
